Krasnoselsky urges Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement guarantors to audit all agreements between Pridnestrovie and Moldova
According to the Pridnestrovian president, Kishinev and Tiraspol have signed over 200 agreements, most of which are ignored by the Moldovan side
Tiraspol, 22 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During his visit to an international conference, The Russian World: Past and Future, in Moscow, Pridnestrovian President answered Russian journalists' questions. In particular, the newspaper Izvestiya has produced a number of articles based on an interview with the Pridnestrovian president.
Answering one of Izvestiya's questions, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that over the years of conflict Moldova and Tiraspol had signed over 200 agreements, including through the OSCE's mediation, but most of them were ignored by the Moldovan side.
«I am calling the guarantors of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement — Russia and Ukraine — to conduct an audit of all agreements with the OSCE's assistance to find out who fails to comply with the agreements and to oblige this side to comply with them, using all possible sanctions. If we are to blame, oblige us to. What's the value of new agreements if they fall into the 'unexecuted' category?» stressed the president.
The journalist also asked which country the Pridnestrovian leadership was going to visit next, referring to the president's recent visit to Great Britain.
«We are considering several options. There are certain recommendations, draft invitations. In any case, we'll consult with Russia's MFA. We are not going to refuse any [negotiation] venues. We are equal participants in the '5+2' format; therefore, we have the right to external contacts. This is confirmed by the agreements providing for independent foreign policy. I don't understand this hysteria among some circles in Moldova. Let them read documents signed by Moldovan politicians," explained Vadim Krasnoselsky.
