Moscow disbursed 12 million rubles for development of Russian-speaking mass media abroad

The main objective of the Russian-speaking mass media is to consolidate Russian compatriots for the sake of the Russian-speaking space preservation, the development of the Russian-speaking segment in information space, RIA Novosti reports

«The Moscow government disbursed 12 million rubles to implement the support program for the Russian-speaking mass media. According to the program purpose and objectives, the financial aid will be provided to Russian-speaking mass media from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Lithuania, Moldova, the USA and Estonia," it is told in the statement of the Moscow Foreign Economic and International Relations Department.

The press service of the department emphasizes that, traditionally, Russian-speaking mass media pay much attention to the issues concerning the compatriots living abroad, and they are also the information partners of all main events taking place abroad at the initiative of the Moscow government, RIA Novosti reports.
