Vadim Krasnoselsky participated in the 3rd Republican Pedagogical Forum

The Republican Pedagogical Forum has started its work in Tiraspol. The event is traditional – it brings together teachers, educators, mentors and officials to discuss current issues related to the field of education, outline strategic guidelines, and lay the foundations for future government decisions. The professional discussion was devoted to the Pridnestrovian people and the impact of the educational system on its strengthening and development this time. The choice of topic is due to the fact that 2025 has been declared the Year of the Pridnestrovian People in Pridnestrovie.

The forum is taking place in the Palace of the Republic. More than five hundred participants have arrived. They are offered an exhibition of the achievements of the republic's educational system and an exposition of thematic printed publications. Additional education organizations of cities and districts have designed bright locations illustrating the cultural diversity of the Pridnestrovian society in addition. 

The Minister of Education of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Svetlana Ivanishina is the forum moderator. She mentioned the approved Concept of Education of Children and Youth, which will be valid until 2030, spoke about ten webinars for teachers and the "Vectors of Education" forum, the development of methodological recommendations and collections of working materials, the implementation of the projects "The Dialogue on Equal Terms", "The Hero's Desk", "The Hero's Stands" and the "80 Good Deeds" campaign, within the framework of which more than a thousand events were held with the participation of 30 thousand volunteers, a visit by our children to the "Artek" camp and an invitation to September to "Orlyonok", the participation of Pridnestrovian schoolchildren in the "Train of Memory" Russian-Belarusian project, the international festival of children's films and the competition "The Best Russian School Abroad", the victory of Rybnitsa residents in the international competition "Tell the World About Your Homeland". There are currently 17785 people involved in the education system of Pridnestrovie, which is 136 specialists less than a year earlier. 8253 of these are teachers. The share of young specialists is 8.4% (a slight increase is planned). There are many more employees of retirement age: this is a third of school teachers and teachers in the field of vocational education, 20% of educators and mentors in institutions of additional education. The average age is 50-55 years (depending on the direction). The head of the Ministry of Education reported, among other things that there are 12 organizations of additional education with coverage of over 10 thousand people and more than fifty creative teams that have officially been awarded the title of exemplary in the republic. The calculated level of wages of teaching staff has increased from 8.4 to 11.8 minimum wages since 2023. Allowances for qualifications range from 50 to 100 minimum wages. Young specialists and rural teachers receive additional payments. 25 young teachers receive a monthly bonus from the PMR President in the amount of almost 2.5 thousand rubles. Subsidies for the purchase of housing are provided. Repair and construction work was carried out in 52 educational institutions within the framework of the state capital investment program last year, despite serious economic difficulties. Financing exceeded 30 million rubles. The plenary session of the forum was attended by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. He emphasized welcoming the delegates that the forum is a convenient and effective platform for exchanging opinions. His half-hour speech was devoted to practical aspects and areas requiring increased attention.

Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the need for systematic preventive work aimed at preventing the spread and non-medical use of drugs by young people. There is no catastrophe in this area in the school sector, but there should not be even isolated cases, according to the President. He reported that eight cases of schoolchildren being involved in drug trafficking have been recorded this year. The President considers the lecture activity initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to be necessary and recommended continuing and expanding it. An important task, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, is to convey to children information not only about the harm of drugs, but also about the inevitability and level of responsibility for their distribution. The second topic raised by the head of the country is school bullying. There are cases of bullying of individual students and teachers. They are responded to in a targeted manner, but there should be a systemic preventive and protective mechanism, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers. He gave a number of recommendations and instructions in this regard to the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health. The PMR President considers it necessary to create a corresponding information resource – a database of potential participants in bullying processes, recalled that a specialized school for difficult teenagers – the Makarenko educational and training complex – operates in the republic, and cited as an example the successful eradication of the so-called hazing in the Pridnestrovian army.

Another aspect that came to the attention of the PMR President is the instability and ill-conceivedness of the school schedule. Vadim Krasnoselsky insists on the advisability of holding paired lessons. This approach allows children to free up more time for additional education.

The President mentioned foreign languages. It is enough to study one, in his opinion, and not two or more, as some secondary educational institutions practice for the school curriculum.

Vadim Krasnoselsky mentioned the problem of a shortage of textbooks. This area is under the presidential control. The PMR President was informed that the wear and tear of textbooks in general education organizations is 74.5%. There are 770500 copies in use, with only 14.4% being new-generation publications. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed the government to pay special attention to the "Textbook" state program and find resources for its gradual implementation.

The President touched on the general topic of the forum – the Pridnestrovian people, their history, identity, and characteristics. Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked the teaching staff for their work in conclusion, emphasized that he was proud of the Pridnestrovian education, and congratulated them on the upcoming Knowledge Day and the upcoming 35th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

The forum continues. The speakers of the first block announced by the organizers are: First President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, Deputy Minister of Education Galina Ratushnyak, Director of the Bendery Pedagogical College Nina Rizun, Principal of Tiraspol School No. 3 Alexander Baranov, Head of the Municipal General Education Institution "Child Development Center No. 17" Natalia Boyko. The second part of the event involves sectional work in such areas as upbringing, additional, professional, and general education. Online discussions are also planned.
