Vadim Krasnoselsky received a delegation from the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova
17 Dec., 2025, 13:24Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Acting Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova Izabela Sylwia Hartmann at the presidential executive office. She arrived in Tiraspol accompanied by her political adviser. The discussion was joined by the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Neagu from the Pridnestrovian side.
The interlocutors emphasized the absence of official negotiations in the "Permanent Conference" format since 2019. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that numerous meetings, his as President with representatives of the international community, official negotiators, and members of expert (working) groups are certainly useful for exchanging information, opinions, and proposals, but do not constitute a full-fledged negotiation process, as they do not provide for decision-making and their subsequent implementation in practice and incorporation into the legal framework and life of each republic. The importance of the "5+2" format, which is universally recognized and has proven its effectiveness, was noted. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the value of OSCE participation, expressing hope for the Mission's assistance in resolving the accumulated problems. Izabela Hartmann in turn thanked the Pridnestrovian leadership for their openness to contact, active cooperation, and well-organized interaction. The need to establish contact mechanisms between law enforcement agencies in Pridnestrovie and Moldova to exchange operational data, conduct joint preventive measures, prevent offenses, and solve existing crimes was among the issues discussed at the meeting. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled incidents involving the smuggling of weapons and narcotics through Moldova. He reported that 16 attempts to smuggle synthetic drugs were prevented at the border crossing between Moldova and Pridnestrovie this year. They discussed the environment, the economy, energy, and respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens, especially those classified as socially vulnerable. The introduction of a state of emergency in Pridnestrovie and the reasons for this decision were also highlighted. The European diplomat mentioned meeting with the leadership of the Pridnestrovian penitentiary system and personally confirmed that citizens in prisons are provided with resources even under conditions of energy restrictions. The meeting participants discussed issues of interest in detail and agreed to continue working together next year.
