The Moldovan authorities’ latest statements are made to please Western sponsors, who pit the country against Russia, and this happens despite Moldova’s residents' will. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry official representative Maria Zakharova.
“Chisinau has excelled in Western instructions fulfilling. The RM President Maia Sandu received “For democracy promotion” and “For offsetting Russian aggression” awards in the United States, Maria Zakharova is quoted by the Sputnik news agency.
The Russian Foreign Ministry official representative added that the anti-Russian rhetoric is currently used in Moldova to divert the population’s attention from the economic problems in the country.
